duties

Manages the Bank’s enterprise risk programs, including policies, procedures, systems monitoring, technology-based controls, and training, as well as compliance monitoring and testing.

Provide effective leadership in enhancing and sustaining the Bank’s compliance and enterprise risk programs to ensure they are commensurate with equivalent-sized bank programs and practices and in line with the expectations of federal and state regulatory authorities.

Assesses and monitors the compliance and enterprise risks associated with the Bank’s business activities, operations, and products and services. 

Manages the bank’s relationship with regulatory agencies (DAB).

Serves as a point of contact for financial regulators and manages the bank’s responses to regulatory inquiries and preparation for examinations. 

Perform Compliance and Enterprise Risk Assessments and review results with executive and senior management.

Collaborate with the business units to gather information and review responses to regulatory exams, audits, investigations, and other information requests.

Develops and maintains an enterprise risk management program appropriate to the size and scope of the bank. 

Oversees robust compliance training for employees and members of the Board. 

On a regular basis, reports to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors on compliance and enterprise risk matters, including actual or potential compliance program violations. 

Any other responsibility as assigned by the supervisor.

qualification

Bachelor’s degree in commerce, economics, accountancy, business studies, mathematics, or related discipline (required).

Risk-related certificates or an MBA will be preferred.

Minimum of 4 to 5 years relevant experience similar to the above gained in a bank, latterly at manager level or above.

Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.

Proven administrative and managerial expertise; innovative; able to motivate and develop a strong team; has the required professional bearing and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with senior management and external parties.
