Responsible for leading a rapid development team to the completion of design and development under aggressive timelines.

Define standards, policies, procedures, measures, and organizational enhancements to meet company goals for the Product & Technology Management group.

Develop and monitor department budgets and forecasts.

Establish key performance indicators

Mentor staff members in order to assist them in cultivating their skills.

Establish compensation, training, and short and long-term goals.

Review technical designs created for conformance to development standards and appropriate design choices.

Create technical designs for large and complicated projects.

Evaluate new Microsoft technologies and make recommendations and decisions on inclusion into the Accelerant development methodologies and product architecture.

Create an implementation plan and documentation to be followed by the development staff. Research and evaluate third-party software for usage in the development lifecycle to aid efficiency and/or quality.

Define development standards and methodologies.

Define design documentation methodology and philosophy.

Utilizing ingenuity and inventive thinking to evaluate options for design and derive the best solutions based on sound analytical judgment, team input, and the customers’ best interests.

Manages all research, development, and product design initiatives.

Manage the overall department of Information Technology.

Other duties may be assigned.

Carry out product design through the full cycle.

Lead a design team in various projects.

Be a self-motivated team player with the drive to achieve project schedules.

Organize daily and weekly team tasks to ensure effective time utilization.

Conduct and improve on Project Management for design as outlined in the QA System and the R&D Structure document.

·        Ensure that the design process is followed and improved.

·        Ensure that design documentation is recorded e.g. Bill of Materials.

·        Ensure that management documentation is recorded e.g. time sheets.

·        Lead periodical project review and product specification.

·        Liaise with other teams in the company as required.

·        Co-ordinate prototyping of products, including testing, verification, and revisions.

·        Troubleshoot problems with the team and assist other teams if required.

·        Communicate with customers for input and feedback on products and perform Demonstrations.

·        Take part in the induction of new team members.

·        Identify training requirements for the team.

·        Report on projects and give presentations

·        Train Technical Support Team, Production Team and others as necessary in new products and revisions.

·        Travel to customer sites and trade shows as required.

·        Other tasks as required by management
