Accountabilities:
- Programme Technical Leadership:
Provide technical leadership and oversight for Community-Based Health Care (CBHC) interventions, ensuring quality implementation in line with BPHS, CBHC policies, and MoPH guidelines.
- Capacity Development & Supervision:
Strengthen the capacity of community health structures through training, coaching, supportive supervision, and performance management of CHSs, CHWs, trainers, and community leaders.
- Planning, Monitoring & Reporting:
Lead planning, monitoring, evaluation, and timely reporting of CBHC activities, ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and use through HMIS and CBHC databases.
- Coordination & Representation:
Coordinate with MAGNA technical teams, government counterparts, and partners; actively participate in coordination forums and technical working groups to share lessons learned and address implementation gaps.
Community Engagement & System Strengthening:
Support effective community mobilization, referral systems, health post selection, and outreach services to improve access, utilization, and continuity of essential health services.
Context Specific Accountabilities:
- Technically managing service delivery, with a focus on strengthening community-based health care or community approaches, including planning, monitoring and evaluation of community-based health care activities.
- Conducting leadership training to CHS and shura members.
- Providing technical assistance to CHW Trainers/Supervisors and CHS (Community Health Supervisors) on how to train community-based health workers. Responsible for planning CBHC training activities
- Working closely with other MAGNA Technical staff in Kunduz and providing technical advice on how to implement the Basic Package of health Services (BPHS) using community- based approaches.
- To ensure that community based activities supported by the MAGNA are consistent with related MoPH policies on the Basic Package of Health Services and Community Based Health Care (CBHC).
- Monthly community need assessment.
- Assist the CHW Supervisors/Trainers in preparing their Monthly Action Plan and Report accordingly.
- Communicating with other technical departments to make sure that CBHC policies and Guidelines are well understood and integrated into projects activities.
- Participating in meetings/workshops and Task Force/Working Groups conducted at PPHO to share and exchange the experiences on CBHC from the field for improving services based on identified gaps and challenges faced in the community during implementation.
- Liaison with HMIS Department to ensure that relevant CBHC-related data is collected, entered into the data base, and made available for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Any other task as assign by the Project Deputy Technical Manager.
- Ensuring that MAGAN has updated information on CBHC policies and guidelines and that They integrate it into their project activities.
- To ensure the database of CBHC department correctly and proper entering, analyzed as well monthly basis.
- To ensure the HPs selection is going correctly and according standard of CBHC policy.
- HFs, HPs and outreach activities supportive supervision.
- To completing CBHS reports.
- Stringing referral system and community mobilizes.
- Appraisals of staffs on time.
- Perform any other required project-related tasks
Education:
MD, Nurse or Similar degree
Experience:
At least 3 years of proven experience at field of CBHC or community health programs .
Strong communications skills;
Fluent English ,Pashto, and Dari with excellent speaking and writing skills
Proficient computing skills – word processing, spreadsheet design and presentations
