Player Development and Coaching:
- Lead the overall batting development of the national team.
- Conduct one-on-one and group coaching sessions tailored to individual player needs.
- Identify and work on specific skill gaps of individual batters.
- Develop individualized player performance enhancement plans in collaboration with HPC and international cricket experts.
- Support players in adapting to different playing conditions, formats, and match scenarios.
- Mentor and develop young and emerging batters in the national team setup.
- Assist players with off-season training, technical adjustments, and skill refinement.
2. Strategic and Tactical Planning:
- Develop and deliver structured, format-specific batting programs for international competitions.
- Provide technical and tactical input on opposition bowlers and match situations.
- Work closely with the Head Coach and support staff to implement team batting strategies.
- Lead warm-up drills and scenario-based batting practice during training and match days.
- Ensure consistency in batting coaching methods and philosophies aligned with the team’s vision.
3. Performance Analysis and Feedback:
- Work closely with the Performance Analyst and video analyst to identify weak areas of players and create corrective programs.
- Collaborate to produce detailed opposition scouting and match analysis reports.
- Create and communicate individualized batting plans based on data, video analysis, and player performance.
- Monitor player performance and provide regular feedback for development and improvement.
4. Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain open and professional communication with the Head Coach, players, support staff, and management.
- Collaborate with the Head Coach to align national team objectives with long-term talent development and strategic goals.
- Coordinate with medical, fitness, and support staff to manage player workload and ensure safe coaching practices.
- Work closely with HPC and domestic staff to ensure continuity between national and domestic player development pathways.
5. Travel and Availability:
- Travel with the national team for all home and away tours to provide continuous coaching support.
- Be available to travel to Afghanistan for training camps, domestic events, and coordination with local staff.
- ICC Level 3 Coaching Certification.
- Significant experience as a professional batter and/or batting coach at international level.
- Minimum 7 years of coaching experience at elite or national level.
- In-depth knowledge of modern batting techniques, tactics, and game trends.
- Proven ability to work within a high-performance environment under pressure.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in using performance analysis tools and coaching technologies.
- Commitment to player development, team culture, and continuous improvement.
