Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA)
Perform substantive audit procedures on financial statement line items, account balances, and disclosures.
Evaluate internal controls and identify control deficiencies, providing recommendations for improvement.
Prepare audit working papers and document audit findings in compliance with firm methodology
Conduct analytical reviews of financial statements and support audit conclusions
Participate in fieldwork at client premises and maintain professional relationships with client personnel
Perform vouching, testing, and reconciliation of financial records
Assist in drafting audit reports and client communications
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards.
Actively participate in internal training and continuous professional development programs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong academic record with an interest in pursuing ACCA, CPA, CA, or other professional qualifications
- Strong academic background with interest in pursuing ACCA, CPA, or CA qualifications.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel within Afghanistan for audit assignments.
- Fluency in English and Dari and/or Pashto.
Preferred Attributes:
• Internship or prior work experience in accounting, audit, or finance
• Knowledge of accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage
