1. Preoperative Assessment and Preparation
• Learn and practice to assess patients before surgery, including reviewing medical history, allergies, and current medications.
• Assist in the development of an anaesthesia plan tailored to the patient’s specific needs, considering factors such as age, health conditions, and type of surgery.
2. Anaesthesia Administration
• Learn and practice to administer anaesthesia to patients during surgical or diagnostic procedures, using various methods such as general, regional, or local anaesthesia.
• Assist to monitor patients continuously during anaesthesia to assess their vital signs (e.g., heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels) and adjust anaesthesia levels as needed.
3. Intraoperative Monitoring
• Assist to monitor the patient’s vital signs, including respiratory rate, blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation throughout the procedure.
• Learn and practice to detect any signs of complications, such as changes in vital signs or adverse reactions to anaesthesia and take immediate corrective actions.
4. Postoperative Care
• Assist to monitor patients as they recover from anaesthesia in the recovery room or post-anaesthesia care unit (PACU).
• Learn and practice to provide post-anaesthesia care instructions and ensure patient safety before discharge or transfer to another unit.
• Minimum of a Medical Degree (MBBS) in Anaesthesiology. (Male: 2024 graduate, female from 2021 and onwards)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle emergencies.
• Fluency in Dari, Pashto and English is an advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of anaesthesia techniques and equipment.
