- Mandatory Experience for Huawei RTN series, NCE , Huawei OSN .
- Checking the performance of core microwave links and Fixed transmission connections.
- Network Optimization, Capacity Planning, and Performance analysis, system tuning and reporting.
- Acceptance Testing of any new nodes /services/solutions being introduced in the Network.
- Creation of Security and Access Management Policy and Shall supervise access to Transmission network elements according to the procedures.
- Keeping Record of all configuration changes using work orders and must update network topology and HLD/LLD after each changed in network.
- Responsible for initiation of emergency handling procedure and monitoring the progress of problem-solving activities and information escalation.
- Escalate capacity shortage to concerned function as per the capacity management process.
- Addressing transmission worst performing links in terms of packet loss, delay, jitter, availability, receive signal level, packet discards, bandwidth utilization and error seconds, Optical power level, Optical Signal to Noise Ratio
- Ensuring that all NE’s data back-ups are done and stored as per procedures.
- Software update to repair equipment malfunctioning and to upgrade equipment features to the latest most-updated software release level, including the NMS software for complete Transmission Network.
- Carrying out Equipment lifeline test and traffic redundancy tests. Load test.
- Traffic and subscribers Migration, forecasting in the network and identify and carry out expansions.
- Network Optimization, Capacity Planning, performance analysis, system tuning and reporting.
- Performing Configuration management function shall implement End-to-End clean up, Coverage improvement, reallocation, and deletion actions on all Transmission NE’s.
- Perform Transmission network evaluation and assessment to ensure that the Transmission backhaul network performs optimally during special events and 24x7.
- Perform weekly / daily audits on Capacity utilization per transmission link and implement load balancing on alternative routes if available. Listing of highly utilized links should be updated and reviewed weekly and an action plan shall be submitted with resolution.
- Provide guidance/Training to TXN Team on L2 Functions, Remote and on ground Support.
- Ensuring End to End Transmission network Performance Management as per agreed KPI’s.
- Perform periodic audit and report status of all installed licenses for NE’s within Transmission network.
OH&S/QMS Role and Responsibilities:
- Reports any hazards or risks in addition to Accidents/Incident to QHSE department.
- Be aware of and complies to i engineering’s IMS Policy.
- Abides by i engineering’s Local Legal and Client Requirements.
- Attends and engages in IMS Awareness Sessions.
- Ensures that all IMS procedures are regularly followed and raises the issue when they are not
- BSc. in /Electrical/IT, Telecom Engineering/Computer Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar job role.
- Excellent Technical presentation & people’s Management skills.
- Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Troubleshooting Skills.
- Capable of professionally managing confidential information.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of legal terminology.
