Review & Approve Contractor Submittals
- Review design drawings, technical specifications, and submittals from contractors
- Ensure submitted designs comply with contractual obligations, technical standards, and best practices
- Provide clear written feedback and approval/rejection decisions on all submittals
Preparation of Scope of Work & Bidding Documents
- Prepare the technical scope of work, specifications, and BoQs for renewable energy-related projects
- Ensure the bidding documents align with the Afghanistan laws and applicable donor procurement guidelines
- Participate in bid evaluation for technical compliance of offers
Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance
- Monitor the quality and compliance of renewable energy system installations during construction phases
- Coordinate with Project managers, and site supervisors to resolve technical issues
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as a technical liaison between PMO, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders
- Provide inputs during project planning, implementation, and reporting stages as required
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare concise and detailed technical reports, memos, and review logs
- Maintain an organized archive of approved drawings, specifications, and correspondence
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering
Five years of experience in renewable energy electrical systems
Experience in design review and project implementation (solar PV, hybrid systems, SHP etc.) is preferred.
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of renewable energy system design standards, procurement processes, and technical evaluation
Software: Proficient in AutoCAD, PVsyst, MS Office, and other relevant design tools is preferred
Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to technical accuracy and completeness
Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess and interpret engineering documents
Teamwork: Capable of working with multidisciplinary teams
Communication: Effective in conveying technical information to non-technical audiences
