Quality Control Engineer

duties

·      Develop and implement project-specific Quality Control Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).

·      Conduct inspections of materials, equipment, and work processes to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

·      Monitor and verify construction activities, ensuring adherence to quality and safety regulations.

·      Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions.

·      Identify non-conformities, issue non-conformance reports (NCRs), and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.

·      Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to resolve quality issues effectively.

·      Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and testing equipment.

·      Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final handover inspections.

·      Prepare and submit quality documentation, including inspection reports, material approvals, and test certificates.

·      Participate in internal and external audits and assist in audit preparation.

·      Train and guide site teams on quality standards and best practices.

·      Carry out inspection and checking for all quality work of school construction and renovation procedures on the site and ensure activity at the site is as per approved method statement and inspection test plan.

·      Ensuring teams work together to deliver quality work to strict deadlines.

·      Preparation and implementation of construction quality tasks and procedures.

·      Monitor the permanent construction and renovation work in schools for proper and quality implementation

·      Perform all daily inspection and tests of the scope of the construction company in the field under the contract performed ON or OFF site.

·      Coordinate with the contractor’s representative and Site Engineer in charge for inspection and meetings about quality problems, including the closure of Non-Compliance Report.

·      Liaise with Contractors Quality for smooth and timely implementation of the project.

·      Taking care of quality documents of the entire project, including SOP, TOR, BoQ, test results, inspection requests,

·      Instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other quality of construction work.

·      Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor


qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (depending on the project).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in quality control, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or engineering industries.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, ASME, ACI, API, etc.).
  • Familiarity with quality inspection techniques, tools, and testing procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
  • Certification in quality control (such as CQE, CWI, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
