Installation & Maintenance: Set up, configure, and maintain fiber-optic network active components, including but not limited to ONUs (Optical Network Units), WAP (Wireless Access Points), IPTV/CTV (Internet Protocol Television/Cable Television), CCTV Security Camera Services, VOIP (Voice over IP) services (IP phones).
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve FTTH network issues, including equipment failures.
Network Monitoring: Use monitoring tools to track network performance and proactively address potential issues.
Customer interaction & Support: Communicate effectively and Assist customers with responding to their technical inquiries, service disruptions, and equipment troubleshooting. Provide client support via various channels such as WhatsApp, email, phone call, or in-person visits for swift technical assistance to ensure customer satisfaction.
Hardware/Software test: Test new hardware/software before full deployment to prevent issues.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of Services installations, repairs, and upgrades.
Reporting: Generate network performance report, recommend improvements, gather customer feedback, report recurring issues to the line manager or supervisor.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, Fiber technicians and other relevant team to ensure continuous network operations, Service delivery, through timely and efficient services.
Task Execution: Carry out assigned tasks from the supervisor or manager, which may include but not limited to:
- Urgent troubleshooting and on-demand network repairs.
- Supporting service activation requests for new FTTH customers out of official timing.
- Assisting in network expansions, migrations, or infrastructure upgrades.
- Coordinating with field technicians for service restoration efforts.
- Preparing reports, summaries, or technical documentation as instructed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications in relevant technologies such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco, CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician), or equivalent are a plus.
- Strong understanding of fiber-optic technology and FTTH network architecture.
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of IP networking, routing, and switching.
- Ability to work in field environments including confined spaces.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends and on National Holidays.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
