- Develop and implement sustainable forestry and natural resource management strategies to promote environmental conservation and resilience.
- Oversee projects related to watershed management, ensuring effective conservation and sustainable use of water and land resources.
- Conduct assessments of forest ecosystems and natural resources to identify areas for conservation, restoration, and sustainable utilization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, communities, and partners, to promote climate resilience and sustainable resource practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support for initiatives focused on climate adaptation and resilience within forest and natural resource sectors.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of natural resource management projects, ensuring they meet environmental and organizational goals.
- Prepare reports, proposals, and documentation related to project progress, findings, and recommendations for sustainable management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and best practices in forest and natural resource management.
- Facilitate capacity-building and training activities for local communities and staff on sustainable resource use and climate resilience.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in forestry, natural resource management, and climate resilience to inform project planning and implementation.
Education
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Water Resource Management, or other relevant fields.
Work Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering, natural resource management, climate resilience, watershed management, or other relevant fields.
Language Skills
- Fluency in Pashto and Dari is required.
- Proficiency in oral and written English is required.
