Finance Officer

duties

·      Manage daily financial transactions including bookkeeping, payments, and reconciliations.

·      Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and donors.

·      Develop and monitor project budgets and provide regular budget updates.

·      Ensure all financial records are maintained accurately and in compliance with accounting standards.

·      Review and process invoices, receipts, and payment requests in a timely manner.

·      Maintain and update cashbooks, bank reconciliations, and petty cash management.

·      Assist in preparing for audits by ensuring all required documents and records are organized and available.

·      Monitor financial expenditures and ensure they align with approved budgets.

·      Ensure compliance with donor financial regulations and organizational financial policies.

·      Support the preparation of payroll and maintain staff financial records.

·      Checking, controlling and Monitor cash flow on Daily basis.

·      Keep and record all the financial transaction using Quick book software.

·      Participate in financial planning and risk assessment for projects.

·      Any other related duty assigned by supervisor.

qualification

·      Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Business Administration. Master’s Degree, courses in accounting, or a qualification in accounting (CPA/ACCA or equivalent) is strongly preferred.

·      Minimum 5 years of work experience in finance, preferably with UN Agencies, donors, INGOs and NNGOs preferably construction projects.

·      Familiarity with donor reporting requirements (e.g., USAID, UN, and EU) is an advantage.

·      Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

·      Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)

Parniyan Training Centre and Rehabilitation Organization (PTCRO) is a non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit public welfare organization dedicated for the provision of relief humanitarian emergency assistance, development and reconstruction of Afghanistan.

PTCRO was founded in 2003 and formally registered with Afghanistan's Ministry of Economy on May 11, 2006. PTCRO has nearly two decades of experience in addressing both developmental and humanitarian needs across the country.

These initiatives have been executed across 24 provinces, demonstrating PTCRO’s extensive reach and impact.

 

PTCRO has collaborated with and received funding from esteemed partners, including USAID, UNICEF, UNDP, UN Women, UNOPS, UNFPA, IOM, Good Weave USA, and AWRC. Its track record of successfully delivering development and humanitarian projects, highlights its commitment to the people and the reconstruction of Afghanistan and its capacity to address the country’s urgent humanitarian needs effectively.
