duties

·      Conduct surveys and assessments in the communities and provide feedback and suggestions for the strengthening and development of the Construction of schools project.

·      Create positive relations with communities CDCs, SMC, and DED through regular meetings and discussions for identifying and addressing education needs and issues.

·      Lead community-based mobilization and sensitization meetings, and introduce the project activities to project beneficiaries.

·      Support project location and project beneficiaries targeting strategy and criteria.

·      Create plans for establishing School Shuras with community members and elders to monitor and support the project activities in the community.

·      Work with the community to identify project needs, and create a work plan, assuring that community members are supporting the project and School Shura members.

·      Regularly monitoring the project and giving daily, weekly and monthly report to the Site Engineer & project manager.

·      Establish and maintain productive work relationships and coordinate activities with PED, DED, Hub Schools, and other relevant stakeholders.

·      Develop and maintain a network of external contacts with key individuals in the government, NGO sector, and civil society at the provincial level.

·      Support feedback mechanism within the project to ensure voices from direct beneficiaries and the wider community are continuously shared, captured, and fed into project activities.

·      Support the child protection staff and community-based committees in case management under the child protection component of the project.

·      Communities aware of project objectives, outputs, activities, MEAL systems and PTCRO Child Protection Policies.

·      Facilitate project activities information at all events such as training, workshops and awareness sessions.

·      Assist joint monitoring visits with the government officials (district relevant authorities) to the project sites.

·      Support implementation of project baseline, mid-term, and final evaluation.

·      Support and advocate school Shuras to fill full their activities and guide them accordingly.

·      Develop project weekly narrative reports and submit them to the Project manager timely.

·      Any other related task as assigned by the Project manager and/or Senior Management Team (SMT).


qualification

·      Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Law, Political Science, Economics, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred).

·      Minimum of 3 years of relevant M&E experience in [construction, development, humanitarian, education, etc.] projects.

·      Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of Pashtu/Dari will be an asset

·      Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

·      Willingness to travel and work in the field. 

·      Experience in a relevant or similar position in humanitarian projects is required.

·      Local residents will be given priority.

Parniyan Training Centre and Rehabilitation Organization (PTCRO) is a non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit public welfare organization dedicated for the provision of relief humanitarian emergency assistance, development and reconstruction of Afghanistan.

PTCRO was founded in 2003 and formally registered with Afghanistan's Ministry of Economy on May 11, 2006. PTCRO has nearly two decades of experience in addressing both developmental and humanitarian needs across the country.
